Dun Peas

Dun peas are one of the oldest domesticated crops that are cultivated for at least 7000 years back in Turkey. Dun peas are now cultivated in almost 25 million acres worldwide. The major countries that produce dun pea are Russia, China, Canada, Australia, United States and Europe. Dun peas shapes are dimpled and with a greenish-brown colour. Dun peas has an excellent nutritional value in it, including Vitamin B, C, and K, folic acid, and fiber.  The pea shoots are sweet and delicious and fairly straight and leafy. They make a great garnish or addition to any salad.

Dun Peas are the substitute for green peas. This is the economical choice to provide nutrition supply to the masses. People who don’t afford green peas prefer to choose dun peas.
